Oana Tranca
Oana TRANCA holds a Master in Southeast-European Studies from the University of Athens as well as a Master in International Relations from the University of Bucharest. She is currently a PhD candidate in political science at Laval University, Canada, where she teaches undergraduate courses on “Ethnic Conflicts and International Relations” and on “European Organizations”. She is also a senior researcher for the “International Peace and Security Program”, at UL/HEI. She is specialised in processes of internationalisation of ethnic conflicts, preventive strategies and third party intervention in ethnic conflicts. She regularly attends international conferences in North America and has developed a wide network of contacts in the academic as well as the public policy milieu. Her most recent publications include “Ethnic Conflict Diffusion: A Dyadic Approach” in Études Internationales. Already involved in the PSI and the Europe Circle at the UL/HEI, Oana Tranca will coordinate and organise both INFOCON conferences and coordinate the efforts to disseminate relevant information extracted from the research efforts and conference outcomes aimed at the civil society, the academic realm as well as practitioners in the field. The UL/HEI will offer logistic and financial support and supervise the entire conference cycle.
