Jana Schildt

Jana SCHILDT will occupy the function of assistant research director (ie. she will be the assistant of the research director) and was, together with Stephan Kampelmann, responsible for the setting up of this INFOCON proposal. She holds a Bachelor in European Studies from Maastricht University and Universidad de Complutense Madrid. She focused on conflict studies and international law during her Master at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Lille. Jana Schildt assisted Elise Féron on the FP6 project PEACE-COM with drawing up reports, developing interviews and preparing deliverables. Her Master thesis focused on the role of minorities in community conflicts and the internationalization of conflicts by examining the example of the Council of Europe intervention in the Brussels periphery. She is a Ph.D candidate at the Université Catholique de Louvain La Neuve. Jana Schildt will also serve as a link between the research direction (UCL) and the management direction (IF) since she is a founding member and vice president of the Internationalist Foundation.
