INFOCON, or International Civil Society Forum on Conflicts is a three-year research programme funded by the European Commission that aims to promote a better understanding of how Civil Society Organizations representing Transnational Communities can work on preventing and resolving conflicts in Europe and worldwide.
INFOCON’s Newsletter will be sent out every month, and will contain news on the progress of the project; the publication of research and policy working papers and policy briefs; events and calls for papers.
If you don’t want to receive this newsletter anymore, an unsubscribe form is available at www.infocon-project.org
2. INFOCON Intranet
The INFOCON intranet is a protected website where project-related documents, important announcements and a discussion forum are found. It’s an important tool to foster communication within INFOCON colleagues, engaging partners’ interaction, improving documents accessibility and allowing the management of INFOCON related events and meetings by an online calendar.
Recent changes have been made in order to improve the website’s security and its navigation. Now, each partner has a personal profile and also a new section called General Bibliography was created to share and build up a common base of knowledge.
The IT manager, Thomas Blumenfeld, created personal accounts on the INFOCON intranet. If you still don’t have your personal username and password please get in touch with him at thomas@internationalistreview.com

3. 7th Framework Programme – Grant Agreement
The final version of the INFOCON Grant Agreement was sent to Internationalist Review for its signature.
The Management Team wish to thank each partner for understanding the extended Grant Agreement preparation and also the European Commission for the hard work that lead to this pioneer and innovative instrument.
Once the coordinator has signed the INFOCON Grant Agreement, all participants will receive the ANNEX IV – FORM A – ACCESSION OF BENEFICIARIES TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT to be filled in by each beneficiary.
The Management Team highlights the importance of filling the former document promptly after reception. If the FORM A is not duly completed and signed per beneficiary in 45 calendar days after the entry into force of the Grant Agreement, the European Commission may terminate it.
4. Work Packages Leaders Meeting
As agreed at the INFOCON Kick-Off meeting, the Work Packages research leaders will meet in 31 of October to discuss the INFOCON research progress and its State of the art.
The Management Team will confirm the meeting venue as soon as possible and will inform the details further.
5. Other news:
